Re: I may need exact height data for reversing Y-axis to do exact mapping

I found that the X coordinates often runs over 768
Does this mean that the eyes goes beyond the range of given text/image?
I suppose this is due to there were some deviation on calibration?
But according to the data, the participants seem to be reading some words, not just running over randomly.
Is there any possible explanation on this phenomena?

Hi 浩民,

I did reversed the Y when demonstrating it in the class. Two more things you should take care

1. The maximum X and Y of the axes should be 1024 and 768.   (i.e. the size as the image)
2. The plot need to be scaled to align the borders of the image with the X and Y axes.

Let me know if there is any other issue.

Best,
Jie-Li

Hello:

I found the Y axis need to be reversed
Here's why:
Look at the initial of fixation we would find it locates at the down-left on the map.
But our trial begins from the top-left.
I figure it was the Y-coordinate got reversed.
So I made some overlapping, but I still found some obvious mismatch on ROI map.
Since I only resized the graph manually.

Do we have a specified region so that I can know how much I have to do conversion?
Like 800-y=y"
Y" is our desired correct y-axis. 800 is the actual height of our trial height.

Noted,
Howard
